Traditionally trained in architectural drawing, Susannah Peacock produces extremely fine images that are beautiful, well balanced, either realistic or imaginative. Growing up in a drama school, Susannah created sets and costumes from a very young age and always enjoyed drawing designs and illustrations.

Her intricate black and white illustrations have been inspired by a lifetime love of Aubrey Beardsley and Harry Clarke who transformed 19th Century literature and poetry with their pen and ink drawings.

"Although I strive to make work that has a timeless quality, it is influenced by contemporary ideas and pattern making.  Everyone loves fairy tale imagery and it has been a pleasure to interpret my favourite stories in this collection."

After starting her professional life in interior design, Susannah returned to university to study Public Art and has exhibited her sculptures in galleries across the country. However when studying and working in architecture, information and map design, her love of line drawing returned and has led to producing intricate black and white illustration.
